| Question: |
16. If someone is paddling on different crews for his club (e.g. open and mixed) does he/she pay the administration fee only once, or once for each crew he/she is paddling on? |
| Answer: |
Each paddler pays the administration fee only once.
 |
|
| Question: |
17. How is the provisional entry fee applied to the total amount my club will pay to compete at CCWC 2006? |
| Answer: |
The $500 entry fee that clubs paid with their provisional entries is deducted from the 50% of total administration fees, which is due on May 1. To illustrate, for a maximum crew of 26, including helm and drummer, the total administration fee would be $50 x 26 = $1,300, of which $650 minus the $500 provisional entry fee would be due on May 1, or a total of $150, and $650 would be due on June 30. In cases where clubs overpaid the provisional entry fee (e.g., they are entering an open crew and a women's crew from which they will draw a mixed crew and they paid a $1,500 provisional entry fee, or $500 for each crew) they should subtract the total amount of their provisional entry fee from the total amount due on May 1 for administration fees and requested services, and the extra $500 will be applied to the amount due for the services they are reserving (i.e. meals, transportation, party tickets).

| Question: |
18. Are there any rules that govern sponsor advertising on club crew uniforms and paddles? |
| Answer: |
Advertising on club crew uniforms and paddles at IDBF events is governed by the following rules:
7.2.1 Advertising on Crew Uniforms, Boats & Equipment. At IDBF championships the advertising of a representative team’s sponsor on a crew’s ‘off water’ uniform and training apparel … will be permitted subject to any conditions established by the IDBF Executive Committee from time to time and published in a championship information bulletin, provided that such uniform (or training clothes) are not worn during an actual race. At other IDBF competitions advertising as above shall be at the discretion of the organizers. Failure to act in accordance with this regulation may result in disciplinary action against the crew concerned.
7.2.2 Advertising on a Crew’s Racing Clothing and Equipment. With the exception of boats and equipment provided by a championship sponsor under Regulation 5.5, the advertising of a representative team’s sponsor on a crew’s racing apparel or personally owned racing paddles, will be permitted subject to the following provisos:
That any such advertising is unobtrusive and tasteful (that is, of a design that does not cause offence to the public or cause the racing vest to become unrecognizable as a crew’s representative colours). One such advertisement will be permitted on the racing vest placed in such a position that it does not unduly disrupt, hide or negate the crew’s colour design thereon.
7.2.3 The maximum size of sponsor’s name and logo advertising that will be permitted on a racing vest shall be that which can be contained in a box measuring 20cm long by 5cm wide. For competitors personal racing paddles, that is those that comply with the IDBF paddle specification, the sponsor’s advertisement may be of a different shape to that on the racing vest but shall not exceed the overall area of the 20cm × 5cm box (100 sq cm).
